We are looking to appoint Exam Invigilators (may include reading and scribing) on an ad-hoc basis, to join our team, who support our examination processes. We are looking for individuals who:

·         are available to work Monday to Friday in February/March, May, June and July during exam times

·         are able to work individually and as part of a team

·         have good interpersonal skill and attention to detail

·         are able to follow all instructions including those set by the Exam Board

·         in particular the Reader/Scribe role requires a good level of literacy skills and legible handwriting

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, term time only, on an as and when needed basis.

The pay band for the role is Scale 2, point 3, which is £12.45 per hour, plus holiday pay.

In this exciting role, you'll work alongside teachers in classrooms to support and nurture students, providing targeted small group interventions that boost their learning. You'll take the lead in delivering social communication interventions for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop essential social skills. Additionally, you'll be responsible for writing detailed one plans and student passports, tailoring educational strategies to meet individual needs. The successful candidate will need to have GCSE qualification grade C/level 5 or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths. Additionally, the successful candidate will hold the HLTA/L4 Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to achieve it within 12 months of appointment.

The pay band for the role is Scale 5 (scp 9 to 12), which is £26,409 to £27,711

The hours of work for the role will be 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total), working between the hours of 8.55 am to 3.30 pm, with one afternoon working to 4.00 pm.

The actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) is £17,133.45 to £17,978.15 (under 5 years’ service) or £17,363.43 to £18,219.47 (over 5 years’ service).
