Year 7 literacy and numeracy catch up

All schools receive funding to provide catch-up for those students whose scaled scores at key stage 2 are not at the expected standard, which is a score of 100+

 

 


•             in the academic year 2017-18 the allocation was £9,483 for 39 students with a scaled score of below 100 in reading and 30 students with a scaled score of below 100 in mathematics

•             by the end of the spring term 2018, 53% of the relevant students had already improved to the expected standard in reading (50% of disadvantaged students) and 18% in mathematics (13% of disadvantaged students)

•             our funding allocation for the academic year 2018-19 is £9,000

•             in the coming year, 2018-19, we intend to spend the allocation as follows:

•             individual tuition in English and mathematics (£3,500)

•             small group tuition in English and mathematics (£3,500)

•             summer school at the end of August for the new September intake (£1,000)

•             SEN induction days in the summer term 2017 (£1,000)
